Limited Warranty
1. Scope Of Warranty
Skapii (“the Company”) warrants to the original purchaser (“the Customer”) that all custom cabinetry manufactured and supplied by the Company shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of three (3) years from the date of substantial completion or delivery, whichever occurs first, provided the products are installed, maintained, and used under normal residential indoor conditions.
Hardware components (including, but not limited to, hinges, slides, and lift systems) are covered under their respective manufacturer warranties. Where the manufacturer warranty period is shorter than Skapii’s warranty term, Skapii shall extend such coverage up to the remainder of the Company’s three-year period. Where the manufacturer warranty provides longer or lifetime coverage, such manufacturer warranty shall supersede this provision.
This limited warranty also applies to installation services performed by contractors authorized or referred by Skapii. The Company does not warrant or assume responsibility for any installation, adjustment, or modification performed by non-authorized or third-party contractors.
2. Remedy
In the event that a warranted defect is confirmed by Skapii, the Company shall, at its sole discretion, repair or replace the defective product or component. Replacement components may differ in color or finish due to variations in materials and manufacturing processes
Refunds, monetary credits, or any other financial compensation shall not be issued under this warranty.
3. Exclusions and Limitations
This limited warranty does not cover and shall be deemed void in the event of:
a. Normal wear and tear, including surface scratches, dents, or finish deterioration from ordinary use.
b. Damage or defects arising from exposure to humidity, moisture, direct sunlight, water leaks, or extreme temperature variations.
c. Paint or finish degradation, including fading, cracking, or peeling on surfaces exposed to direct sunlight.
d. Splitting, movement, or cracking of solid wood components, which may occur naturally due to environmental conditions.
e. Improper handling, misuse, abuse, negligence, accident, alteration, or modification by any person not authorized by Skapii.
f. Improper cleaning methods or use of abrasive or chemical cleaners.
g. Installation, removal, or adjustment performed by any person not referred or approved by Skapii.
h. Variations in wood grain, color tone, texture, or natural characteristics, which are not considered manufacturing defects.
Any exposure to humidity, direct sunlight, temperature fluctuations, or water intrusion shall automatically render the warranty void without further obligation by the Company.
4. Claim Procedure
All warranty claims must be submitted in writing to info@skapii.com by the original purchaser. The Customer must include:
- Photographic evidence clearly depicting the alleged defect; and
- Proof of purchase (invoice, receipt, or executed contract).
Skapii shall review all claims within ten (10) business days of receipt. If the defect is covered under this limited warranty, Skapii will arrange for repair or replacement as described above.
Claims relating to components covered under a manufacturer’s warranty (including hardware and accessories) shall be processed directly through the manufacturer, and Skapii assumes no liability for manufacturer determinations or timelines.
5. Transferability
This limited warranty applies exclusively to the original purchaser of the products and is non-transferable. Any transfer of ownership of the product or of the property where the product is installed shall immediately terminate all warranty coverage.
6. Limitations of Liability
This limited warranty constitutes the sole and exclusive warranty extended by Skapii. All other warranties, whether expressed or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are hereby disclaimed to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Under no circumstances shall Skapii be liable for incidental, indirect, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of use, delay, inconvenience, or loss of profits, whether arising in contract, tort, or otherwise.
